91 GIRLS COME HOME CHAMPIONS!
After a year away from the Extreme FC, the 91 girls ARE BACK! Eight of the original Extreme 91 Girls Team were joined by ten other awesome teammates from Owasso, Collinsville, Sperry, Claremore, and Chelsea. Coached by Coach Hassan Ahmed and Assistant Coach Brad Sparkman, the girls are off to a great start and were undefeated in their first tournament play at the Broken Arrow Labor Day Tournament.

In the first game, the girls tied DFW Tornados 91 Blue 2 to 2. Extreme dominated the game, but not the scoreboard. Both goals were scored by forward Sam Pesek originally from Argentina. At the next game held Sunday at 7:30 am, the girls played awesome against Thunder 91 and defeated them 3 to 1 in a very fast paced game. This game was a definite confidence builder for this new team. Two of the three goals were scored by mid-fielder Courtney Cleveland. Sunday afternoon the girls dominated Bartlesville Elite 91 and won 6 to 1 which qualified them for the finals against the DFW Tornados. In the finals, Extreme completely shut out the DFW Tornados and won 6 to 0 winning the Team’s first Championship Title. The girls scored 17 goals during the tournament which were scored by 7 different girls including Sam Pesek (5), Taylor Vick (1), Courtney Cleveland (2), Taylynn Langley (2), Stephanie Fulton (2), Sally Matthews (2), and Julia Nimal (3). Defensively, the girls only gave up one goal (average) per game. Good job defense!

Coach Hassan Ahmed is very proud of the girls and says that they have improved greatly as a team in just two short months of playing together and looks forward to continual improvement and competing with the best teams in the State!

GO EXTREME 91 GIRLS!
