93 BOYS COME AWAY WITH TOPEKA CHAMPIONSHIP
The eXtreme 93 Blue boys came away Champions of the Fall Governor's Cup in Topeka, Kansas over October 21 & 22. The boys played very well despite the frigid temps and drizzly rain. They swept their pool play with no problems. The semi-finals placed them up against the reigning 2005 Governor's Cup Champion. The Rockets looked very menacing, but eXtreme was able to come away with a 2-0 victory c/o 2 goals by Tyler Rector. The win advanced them on to the finals where they met the KC Select Renegades.

The finals match lasted 2 hours and 15 minutes. Regulation and 2 overtime periods ended in at 1-1 tie which forced EFC into a shootout. Each team sent 10 players to the line to shoot with the 93s coming out the Champions 6-5. Congratulations to coach Justin Phillip and the boys on a much needed Championship after several near misses.

The 93 Boys Blue team traveled to Little Rock, Arkansas on October 7 to compete in the 14th Annual Capital City Cup. The 93s first match was against Little Rock Futball Club's 93 Blue. EFC has split 2 prior matches with LRFC with 1 win and 1 loss each. Unfortuantely LRFC was able to keep the 93s out of the goal this game and went up 1 in the series with a 1-0 win over EFC.

EFC followed up with a vengance with 3 wins over LRFC 94 Blue, Shreveport Earthquakes and LRFC 93 White and came away with a 2nd place trophy for the weekend. Their next tournament appearance will be October 20 in the Governor's Cup in Topeka, Kansas.

EFC BLUE VS HURRICANE
The 93s started winding down their Spring OPL season with a match against HFC 93 Elkington May 7.

HFC scored early in the game with EFC holding them to 1-0 at the half. EFC came out strong keeping the ball on HFCs end of the field the majority of the half. A "back door" one touch goal off a beautiful cross was the equalizer for EFC in the last 10 minutes of the game. Both teams mounted last minute efforts to break the tie without success. The match ended 1-1.
