94s COMPETE IN STATE CUP As the only non-OPL team in the U14 Boys division of the Oklahoma State Cup, the 94s traveled to Edmond not knowing what to expect. Initiated by fire, the 94s drew defending State Champion and OPL Champion, TSC 94 Black for their first round. EFC battled holding TSC scoreless in the first half. They would allow 1 goal in the first 10 minutes of the 2nd half and one more in the final 5 for a final of 2-0. However, Extreme would follow up with a 2-0 victory of their own over WSA 94. Sunday would bring a match against Edmond Black with an EFC team that was not at the top of their game. EFC dropped the match 1-0 on a first half penalty kick. The 94 defense worked hard, but their offense generated very little attack and couldn't finish.
The 94s enjoy a couple of weeks off before starting pre-tryout training. They look forward to June tryouts and fall 2008 in the Oklahoma Premier League.

3 CONSECUTIVE TITLES The 94 Boys capture their 3rd consecutive GCSA A League title with a 3-0 win over Hurricane Gibson 94 in their final game of the season. They finish with a record of 5 wins, 0 losses and 3 ties. After being denied an invitation to OPL by OSA after sweeping their league undefeated in the fall 2007 season, the 94s came back more determined than ever to win in the spring and earn the right for a 3rd time to play in Oklahoma's Premier League. Congratulations to the EFC 94 Boys for their championship and for continuing to work hard even when the road got a little rough.
The 94s plan to compete in Oklahoma's State Cup May 17 & 18 in Edmond to see how they measure up among the state's top teams.

2007 SAM SHANNON CUP EFC 94 represented Extreme as the only boys team participating in this year's TSC Sam Shannon Cup & Showcase at Valley Park on November 24 & 25. EFC played strong despite being short 5 teammates due to injuries and the Thanksgiving holiday. They started the weekend with back to back games on Saturday morning with a 2-0 victory over OPL's TSC 94 White and then with only a 20 minute break faced off against Texas' C.D. Independiente 94. EFC would drop the match 4-0, but rebounded in the quarterfinals Sunday with a 2-1 win over Kansas Olympic Development 94 Blue which resulted in a rematch with Independiente in the Semi-Finals. The 94s held the tough Texas team 1-0 until the 50th minute when a Josh Cude goal brought them even at 1-1. However, with only 9 minutes left EFC would concede 1 corner kick and 2 one on ones to bring the final score to 4-1. The semi finals placement will move the 94s in to 5th in the Oklahoma U14 Competitive Boys rankings on GotSoccer.com.
Congratulations to EFC 94 on all of their hard work this season. The boys had very strong showings in their league and tournament play winning the GCSA U14 A League with a record of 10-0-0, finishing as finalists in 3 tournaments and semi-finalists in a 4th tourney for an overall season record of 22-6-1, scoring 89 goals and alllowing 29.

BLITZ INVITATIONAL RUNNER UP After planning on having a weekend off, the 94 Boys accepted a last second invitation to play in the 2007 Blitz Fall Invitational the night before the tourney. The 94s knocked off OPL teams Blitz 94 Red 2-0 and Midwest Vision 94 Red 3-2, as well as Arkansas's Ingram/Comets United 94 White 5-2. Their only loss would come from the tough Springfield Soccer Club 94 team (4-1) that would eventually win the tournament.
The 94s are 3 for 3 in 2nd place tournament finishes for the season. While the team and Alex are excited about this season's successes, they are anxious to trade them in for a champions medal in their next tournament. Congrats to the 94s and keep up the good work! The Blitz tournament finish boosted EFC past Blitz 94 Red up to 6th in the www.gotsoccer.com rankings for Oklahoma U14 Boys!

BASC REPEAT? The 94s fell just short of repeating as Champions of the BASC Labor Day Invitational with a 2-0 loss to HFC 94 Jacobsen in the final. EFC swept their bracket play with a 2-1 win over Texas Revolution Premier, a 4-0 win over WSA 94 and a 3-0 win over Celtic Black 94.
EFC welcomes new team member, Colton R. from Washington State just in time for the tourney. The 94s continue to grow in strength and experience as they train for the upcoming season with a handful of new members and new coach, Alex Miranda.

BEAT THE HEAT FINALISTS The 94s debut with new head coach, Alex Miranda was a successful one. EFC 94 traveled to Edmond on August 11 for the 12th Annual "Beat the Heat" tourney. July and August's 4 hour Saturday practices paid off in a big way when the boys were faced with 2 games on Saturday and 3 games on Sunday in 100+ temps.
EFC opened the weekend with a 3-0 win over Edmond White followed by an exicting 2-2 tie with Dallas Texans Red. EFC would be tied for the lead in their bracket, but the Texans would pull out the top spot on goal differential. Sunday morning would start out with a 1-0 win against HFC 94 Gibson and a 2-1 win over TSC 94 White in the scorching hot 1:30 pm semi-final. With an hour to rest before their championship match, the 94s prepared for a rematch with the tough Dallas Texans Red and their fresh legs. EFC fought hard, but 180 minutes of soccer in the extreme heat finally took its toll. The 94s would allow 1 goal in the first 10 minutes of the match, but would then hold the Texans until the last 5 minutes until a beautiful free kick hit the back of the net.
The 94s would fall short of the championship with a 2-0 loss in the final, but came home with valuable experience for their new players.

GCSA U13 BOYS LEAGUE A CHAMPION! The 94 Boys "ham it up" (above) after their 4-0 shut of Hurricane 94 Gibson. The victory, paired with an exciting 4-3 win over Thunder 95 Black at Westbank from the night before, solidified their bid for the league title. They finish with an overall season record of 11-4-3, 39 Goals Scored and 18 against.
Highlights of their season included an excellent showing in the Thunder Friendship Cup U13 Boys Gold division, the State Runner Up title at the 2007 Mazzios Oklahoma President's Cup and the new title of A League Champion, record 7-2-1. This follows a tie for Fall 2006 League A Runner Up and being crowned the BASC Labor Day Invitational Champion. Congratulations to EFC 94 on a great year!

PRESIDENT'S CUP STATE RUNNER UP The Extreme FC 94 Boys are the 2007 Mazzios Oklahoma President’s Cup U13 State Runner Up. With a tournament record of 3-1-1, EFC played brilliantly against some of the best U13 Boys and OK Premier teams in the state. After winning the wild card spot in the preliminaries (see article below) the 94s met up with NOKC Padova for a Saturday evening semi-final. EFC wouldn't go up until the 2nd half even though they had already pounded the Padova goal for an entire half. But an awkward bouncing "chip" , 1 of only 3 shots allowed, would tie the game up for Padova. At the end of regulation and two 5-minute overtimes the score was still tied 1-1 which resulted in a shootout. A miss from Padova, a save from EFC goalie, Aaron Carter and 4 good EFC PKs in a row secured Extreme the shootout victory and the finals berth.
The Sunday morning final was a rematch of bracket play against the Southlakes Cosmos. EFC would score first and hold the Cosmos 1-0 until the last 15 minutes of the game. 2 unmarked men in 2 consecutive corner kicks resulted in goals that gave Southlakes the 2-1 win and the state title. Coach Doug congratulated the 94s and commended them for the hard work and dedication they've put forth to take their play to the next level.

94s MAKE STRONG SHOWING IN GOLD The 94 Boys made a strong showing playing up in the U13 Boys Gold Division at the Thunder Friendship Cup April 14 & 15. They braved the cold and sloppy field conditions at 7:30 am with a win against Topeka Select followed by their next match with the defending 2006 tournament champion Little Latinos. The 94s held the tough Latinos offense scoreless during the first half of play, but the Wichita team put in 2 during the second half for a score of 2-0. The final game of bracket play was against Little Rock FC Blue. EFC dominated possession the first half, but LRFC would go up first with a questionable PK. But the 94s never gave up, playing tough and fighting back to tie the game 1-1. With a record of 1-1-1, EFC was unable to move on to the semis. But as the only non-Premier team in the 12 team division, Extreme put forth an impressive and very competitive effort in a division where many may have never given them a chance.

94s START SEASON STRONG! After having 2 teams cancel games against them, the 94 Boys finally got to start their season by hosting Blitz 94 Navy on March 13th. The 94s pounded Blitz's goal from whistle to whistle putting in 5 goals that were accompanied by numerous near misses & 1 v 1 opportunties that went just wide of the goal. Josh started the attack with a goal in the first 10 minutes of the game which was followed by a direct kick goal by Taylor, an indirect kick goal by Jacob, another goal by Cisco and capped off with a final hard fought goal by Josh.
Doug was very pleased with how the boys moved and distributed the ball even with the experimental line ups he threw into the mix. In the end the fast pace and passing of EFC proved too strong for Blitz who only had a handful of shots on goal. EFC ended the game with a 5-0 shutout.

A HIGH NOTE The 94 Boys capped off their first season of 11 v 11
with a 2-1 win over undefeated WSA 94 followed with a 3-0 win over Verdigris 94.
Once again, the 94s dominated play, but were still plagued by not being able to

EFC finished with a record of 6-2-0 in
league play (tying for 2nd & beating then undefeated WSA 94) and an overall season record of 12-4-2. Highlights included bringing home the championship trophy from the BASC Labor Day Invitational in the U13 Boys A Division.
